Expert in CNC manufacturing metrology, MSP, is delighted to announce it is exhibiting at JEC World, the leading international composites show, for the first time in its history. From 4th to 6th March, MSP will be showcasing its leading metrology products in Hall 6, Stand S62 on the UK Pavilion, organised by Composites UK.

MSP’s products offer automation of manual manufacturing processes for the finish machining of composite parts. The software detects and accounts for deviations from nominal on the part and automatically adjusts the controller to ensure parts are machined accurately and to micron tolerances (if required). This is of major importance within the composites sector where distortion of parts is prolific and often affects the accuracy of finish machining because traditional alignment methods cannot detect any changes in the shape.
MSP’s products have garnered huge success in composite-heavy industries, like Formula 1, where the finish machining of composite parts must be micron-accurate and efficient to keep up with competition. For one leading Formula 1 team, the software reduced part setup time from 10 hours to 38 minutes by automating the process for locating and aligning the composite chassis parts on the machine tool.
