To celebrate International Women’s Day this year, we asked some of our female colleagues what International Women’s Day and this year’s theme of ‘Embrace Equity’ means to them.

We had lots of lovely responses including from Amanda Tait, Applications Engineer:

“For me, it’s being part of a team and embracing qualities, which together, makes the team great regardless of gender or other physical differences we have!”.

AMUK Members Forum

This month, Margaret and Aidan went to their first AMUK members forum. They had a great day hearing more about AMUK, meeting other AMUK members and learning about upcoming trends within the industry.

AMUK is run in partnership with the Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA) and is positioned to help drive the development and adoption of AM technology in the UK.

To demonstrate how MSP fits into the additive manufacturing ecosystem, read the case study here about how we helped 3T-am:

  • Reduce part setup time from 5 hours to 10 minutes
  • Increase potential machine capacity by 157%
  • Machine a whole batch of parts in one day

Training the Renishaw subsidiaries

Amanda training at Renishaw

As an associate company of Renishaw, we work closely with their global subsidiaries to provide them with the knowledge they need to showcase our products and help companies automate their machining processes across the globe.

This month, Applications Engineer Amanda Tait was at the Renishaw Innovation Centre in Gloucestershire to train Felix from Renishaw Ibérica, S.A.U. so he can do MSP product installations to companies in Spain. His first install is already planned, installing NC-Checker at a company in Burgos.

Aidan, Margaret and Stefan attended the 2023 North West Aerospace Alliance Annual Conference this month and had a day full of interesting presentations from speakers including David Bailey FRAeS Ph.D, Peter Lord and Stephen Cowan, learning about new trends and gaining an insight into the future of the aerospace industry.

Aidan also took to the stage in the afternoon to propose a different way of looking at achieving sustainability in the aerospace industry - through the use of metrology and automation software.
