MSP PerfectPart 2018 gives key functionality to users including Automatic Weightings, Star Styli compatibility and Cylinder probing. It also includes many important improvements such as accommodating for larger CAD files and improvements to the way important features are reported.

Auto-weightings

Weightings are now stored against the part and serial number. These can be recalled automatically to improve subsequent part alignments.

Feature labels

Reports now show much more informative labels, providing more detailed information about the point or feature of interest.

PDF reports

For all MSP PerfectPart reports, it is now possible to generate and export PDFs.

Linear distances

This new feature allows the user to inspect linear distances between features (spheres, bores etc.).

Star Styli compatibility

Star styli can now be calibrated and used in MSP PerfectPart processes on Fanuc, Heidenhain and Siemens controllers.

Cylinder probing

Cylinder features have been added to the GD&T features supported in MSP PerfectPart.

New probe length safety check

The operator will now be alerted if the probe length in the control’s tool table is different to the probe length when the MSP PerfectPart calibration was completed.

Siemens now has MSPERR

This new feature allows for user-defined actions and messages to be configured so the controller can react differently to different error states.

Mazak: FastConnect

New connection functionality allows MSP PerfectPart to connect to Mazatrol controllers without the need for separate licences.

Improvements have been made to make the reports clearer and give a better experience for the user.

The reporting of decimal places for results has been standardised across MSP PerfectPart.

Heidenhain 640 no longer requires Option 18

It is no longer necessary for the user to purchase Option 18 on Heidenhain 640 controllers.

NC-Checker's 5-Axis tests have been improved to make the process quicker.

Reporting Improvements

Improvements have been made to the way features are counted so there is less risk of the data being skewed.

Loading of external applications

External applications, such as the Help section, can now be loaded from within MSP PerfectPart.

Automation mode update

This improvement gives the user more flexibility when dealing with an error on a report as part of an automated process.

The number of points taken in using the NC-PartLocator bore/boss cycle is now configurable.

Hole / surface offset using multiple cutting edges

It is now possible to set individual cutting edges using Hole / Surface offsets to avoid data overrides.

 MSP PerfectPart alignments are now compatible with the Siemens Mirror function.

All MSP PerfectPart information is now stored within the Help application, that can be launched using F1.

This improvement means returning data to the controller is now possible in all NC-PartLocator processes.
