MSP is delighted to announce it has become a member of the Midlands Aerospace Alliance (MAA).

MSP has provided solutions for the aerospace industry since it was founded in 2002 and have joined the MAA to call on their extensive support whilst aiming to advance the industry further forward.

Working with companies from within both the civilian and defence aerospace sectors, MSP helps solve a variety of CNC machining and part process issues for aerospace manufacturers. These solutions include:

  • the prevention of condition of supply variations affecting finished parts
  • the elimination of part to part variation
  • shortening part set up times and making setup times consistent
  • removing operator error and variation from the part setup process

These benefits mean MSP has become renowned for providing incredible time and money savings for its customers. One of its first successes was helping BAE Systems reduce production time for the Eurofighter Typhoon’s Foreplane from 7 days to 4 hours using its NC-Checker and NC-PartLocator software. This saved over £20 million for BAE Systems in 5 years and the project was awarded a BAE Systems Bronze Chairman’s Award.

Other Aerospace customers, such as Spirit Aerosystems and Leonardo Helicopters, have achieved 24/7 lights-out production and full 5-axis CNC automation for the production of right-first-time parts, every time.

The Midlands Aerospace Alliance was founded in 2003 with a mission to promote and support cooperation between industry customers, suppliers, the public sector and other partners to improve the competitiveness of its member companies in global aerospace markets.

Margaret Toberty, MSP Director of Operations, says: “We greatly value the MAA’s support and experience of the industry and we are proud to now sit alongside their great community of over 250 members.

“At MSP, we are passionate about moving the industry forward and helping it become more productive, sustainable and accurate. Collaboration is a key element to this and, by becoming members of organisations like the MAA, not only can we offer help to other members, but we can combine our expertise to improve the aerospace industry for the better. We have a wide range of knowledge about aerospace manufacturing and hope to be a great asset to the MAA membership collective. We look forward to seeing where the industry can go”.
