MSP celebrated being shortlisted for two awards
This month we celebrated being shortlisted for two awards at the Engineering & Manufacturing Awards. We were shortlisted for:
‘Design Team of the Year’ for AutoClock
- AutoClock has been nominated for its unique ability to automate touch probe setup and calibration.
‘Manufacturing Technology Innovation’ in conjunction with SST Technology
- MSP helped the company go to manufacturing 7 times more parts a week and enabled their CNC machines to run 24 hours a day.Read the full case study here.
Automated CNC Machining Showcase announcement
We announced our next showcase event happening in July at Biesse UK.
For existing customers, there will be a chance to see new product features in action for the very first time and talk with the engineers supporting your processes.
For new customers, see how MSP’s PerfectPart suite can complement your current CNC machining processes to drive a smarter and more efficient operation.
There will also be an optional tour of the Biesse Group UK facility and their CNC technology centre.

Composites UK Digitalisation Showcase
Aidan Wigham, MSP’s Technical Account Manager, spoke at the Composites Digitalisation Showcase event this month alongside a fantastic programme of speakers from throughout the industry.
The event provided a great opportunity to learn about how digitalisation can transform the composites industry.

How to finish machine additive parts right-first-time
This month, we shared how we helped 3T-am to create right-first-time parts - even before we left their site!
We understand creating right-first-time parts in the additive industry is difficult as parts:
- are near net shapes, leaving no margin for error
- have no orthogonal surfaces to locate from
- distort in the build process, causing their final shape to differ from the original CAD model
But our products adapt and account for these issues. Read how they helped 3T-am in the case study here.
Renishaw Open House 2023
It was great to be involved in Renishaw's Open House this month which showcased ‘Automated Process Control and the Connected Factory’.
Our Technical Account Manager, Aidan Wigham was part of a team of experts presenting the latest innovations designed to automate CNC machining processes. Aidan demonstrated the areas in which MSP automate the CNC machining process, whilst Paul Maxted and James Hartley highlighted Renishaw's capability to support manufacturers on their journey towards a connected factory.
As part of the day, MSP's Applications Engineer, James Dent, also performed on-machine demonstrations to show how MSP enable right-first-time manufacturing.
Biesse ‘Advanced Materials’ Open Day
We were proud to have been part of Biesse’s ‘Advanced Materials’ Open Day this month, showcasing how our MSP PerfectPart suite of products works on their Materia CL machine.

Filming of product demos
Stefan and Hannah worked together this month at Biesse UK to set up for MSP’s Automated CNC Machining Event in July and capture some filming of the demos attendees will see on the day.
These demos include:

NC-Checker - automated CNC machine capability checking
NC-PartLocator - automated part alignment on two different parts
