MSP Offers Support for Legacy Delcam-Supplied NC-Checker and NC-PartLocator Software
by Hannah Brown on 11:46 AM on May 1, 2026
MSP, the developer of NC-Checker and NC-PartLocator, is supporting manufacturers worldwide who continue to use legacy versions of the software that were originally supplied through Delcam.
Between approximately 2005 and 2013, Delcam acted as the distributor, installer and support provider for MSP-developed NC-Checker and NC-PartLocator. Following Autodesk’s acquisition of Delcam in 2014, distribution and support for these products by Delcam ceased. As a result, some users are now operating legacy installations that are no longer supported through their original supply route.
MSP continues to develop, distribute and support NC-Checker and NC-PartLocator and is encouraging manufacturers using legacy Delcam-supplied versions of the software to contact MSP if they are experiencing system limitations or compatibility issues. This may include issues following hardware upgrades or operating system changes, such as moves to Windows 11, as well as concerns around expiring licence dongles.
MSP will guide users on how to continue using these products and develop their processes with confidence and minimal disruption. MSP can support customers globally, working closely with its parent company, Renishaw, to provide worldwide distribution channels and long-term continuity. Support is also available for systems known under former Delcam product names such as HealthChecker or PSFixture.
NC-Checker and NC-PartLocator are powerful metrology software packages for CNC machine tools, offering accurate touch probe calibration, machine capability checking and automated part alignment. Since 2013, MSP has distributed these products worldwide, with its customers seeing significant benefits such as increased machine capacity, reduced part setup time and 0% scrap rates.
In addition to maintaining existing functionality, MSP’s current versions of NC-Checker and NC-PartLocator offer significantly expanded capabilities compared to earlier Delcam releases, including compatibility with more controllers and probes.
NC-Checker now has a full Benchmark wheel to offer enhanced machine analysis and can perform machine tool kinematic error corrections. NC-PartLocator can now do multiple alignments on a single part for key features and there is now feature-based reporting. Both products now also give customers the ability to achieve full automation.
