Our Vision

Our vision is removing errors from the part production process so manufacturers can have the confidence they will produce right-first-time parts, every time. This stems from the previous careers of our founders in software development and mechanical engineering. both had witnessed engineers struggling to fix part errors that were being identified during final inspection – when it was too late to correct the issue. These errors could be removed and this was the 'Eureka!' moment that started MSP.

MSP was founded

MSP was founded by Tony Brown and Peter Hammond (who retired in 2021). Why were manufacturers struggling to create good parts, when the errors causing the problems could be removed? This was the ‘Eureka!’ moment that spurred MSP's invention.

Launch of Renishaw's UCCserver

MSP’s journey started with writing software for Renishaw, helping to create UCCserver, which launched in 2003.

Launch of NC-Checker and NC-PartLocator

These products were launched with the capacity to remove errors on a 5-axis CNC machine tool and remove errors from the part alignment process.

The relationship between MSP and Renishaw was cemented in 2005 when MSP became a Renishaw Associate Company.

Launch of Renishaw's Equator

After the success of UCCserver, MSP’s expertise was called up again by Renishaw to jointly create Renishaw’s Equator. This launched in 2011.

Expansion of MSP's offices

MSP expanded by 100%, with the additional space being used to house a new product team, new machinery and to support new worldwide contracts.

Launch of AutoClock

MSP launched AutoClock - the first product on the market to automate the probe setup and calibration process and remove errors from this first stage of the CNC machining process.

After successful collaboration spanning over 20 years, MSP were brought in as integral partners on Renishaw’s RCS product line which launched in 2023.
