Following the success of the inaugural Machining Scotland Conference 2019, the largest ever event to take place at the University of Strathclyde's Advanced Forming Research Centre (AFRC), the conference is back for 2020.
This year's conference, run in collaboration with the AFRC's Industrial Members and Partners, is aimed at re-shoring work and promoting new relationships across the machining sector.
What to expect on the day:
Each day will be packed with state of the art tool demonstrations, including a DMG NLX with Robo2Go, highlighting lights out production and lean automation for automated production runs, plus drop-in clinics, networking opportunities, insights from industry leaders and an exhibition.
It will also feature an immersive digital showcase including a preview of Scotland's very first digital twin for filling whisky casks, which can boost productivity and save the industry significant costs, along with an opportunity to experience the future state of working instructions through our augmented reality platform.

As a Tier Two member of the AFRC, MSP are delighted to be taking part in this event.
Our engineers will be providing on-machine demos of our products toshow how you can automate your processes end to end from probe calibration through to final inspection. They will explain how errors can occur at any stage and how we help identify, and then eliminate, them to achieve error-free production cycles producing right-first-time parts.
Our Senior Engineers will also be on hand to share their experience and offer guidance during the drop-in clinics held throughout the event.
